Applications: Exponential functions and logarithms
Exponential functions and logarithms
We want to make some ice cubes in a freezer. The temperature of the water cools from room temperature of #20^\circ C#, to #-20^\circ C#. The temperature of the water is approximated by the following formula. \[\begin{array}{rcl}T(t)=-20+40\cdot0.34^t\end{array}\] Here, #T(t)# denotes the temperature in #^\circ C# at time #t# and #t# denotes the time in hours.
After how many minutes does the water start freezing? Round your answer to the nearest integer.
